The Challenge

For many children in underserved communities, starting school is not as simple as showing up. Basic learning materials like school bags, notebooks, textbooks, and writing tools are often out of reach, making it harder for children to participate fully and confidently in class.

In times of crisis, the challenge becomes even greater. Natural disasters, displacement, and emergencies can interrupt schooling entirely, leaving children without the resources or support they need to continue learning. When education is disrupted for too long, children become more vulnerable to falling behind or dropping out altogether.

At Chesed Diary, we believe that no child’s education should be paused because they lack the basic tools to learn.

Our Approach

We respond by putting practical learning support directly into the hands of children who need it most.

Essential Learning Materials

We provide age- and grade-appropriate school bags filled with the supplies children need for a school term or full academic year, including notebooks, textbooks, writing tools, and other basic learning materials.

Emergency Education Support

When crises disrupt education, we help children continue learning by providing portable materials and support that make it easier to stay connected to school, even outside traditional classrooms.

A Stronger Start to Learning

By reducing the financial burden on families and improving school readiness, the program helps children return to learning with greater confidence, dignity, and motivation.

Help a child start school prepared

A donation of $500 could help provide essential learning materials for children starting a new school term. Help us equip more students with the tools they need to learn with confidence.
